Project Summary: Customer Information Centre for Metro is built to meet Transport and Metro standards. The main features of this project are the 1/21 compliant accessible ramps and the metro graphics. This was a complete fit out including construction of new retail shop front, floor work including full reconstruction of shopfront floor to include compliant ramp entry, steel supporting beams and posts, glazing, partitions, ceiling, floor coverings, kitchen, accessible bathroom, auto doors, security, av, power, data and custom joinery. The Detailed project was completed in 8 weeks. Behind the scenes; the project timing was pushed out when a non-compliant fire rated ceiling was discovered, CIP had to demo the existing non-compliant ceiling and replace it with two layer fire rated ceiling for compliance.

This project included a priceless Aboriginal Glass artwork masterpiece to be moved from the original location to the new office in Mascot. CIP carefully managed this sensitive component of the project with kid gloves. Where some movers declined the job, CIP delivered the artwork successfully and hung it superbly in Reception. Other components of the project included ceilings, floor coverings, feature joinery, break out area, board room and meeting rooms, data and electrical, hydraulics workstations and loose furniture.

Stages 1 and 2 were very involved and works included feature ceilings, pinnable wall fabrics, magnetic white boards – made to measure, lockers, feature carpet and vinyl throughout, a fully functional break out area with stone benchtops. It included an accessible bathroom, joinery items, all work stations and loose furniture. All services trades, fire, mechanical, hydraulics and electrical and data were all upgraded or modified to suit the new office environment.
Aboriginal Housing – Family & Community Services (FACS)

FACS Charlestown was executed and completed over the Christmas period. The works included extensive demolition works of walls and floor coverings, strip out of all redundant services. Construction of doors and walls, floor finishes and resilient floor finishes, customer service areas comprising of custom joinery, wall finishes, wall panelling and pinboards. Installation of services, mechanical, hydraulic, security, fire services, FACS specially developed data requirements and coordination of all work stations and loose furniture.

Extensive client directed variation work to the ground floor and level 2 which were not in the original scope and CIP were able to keep to the original program.
